Raw materials:
This week, the price of sulfuric acid in Yunnan region has been raised by 30 yuan per ton. As the National Day holiday approaches, most downstream customers still have the need to restock before the holiday. Coupled with the rise of sulfuric acid prices in Yunnan, it drives up the price of dicalcium phosphate.
Supply and operating rate:
This week, the operating rate of dicalcium phosphate has been significantly improved compared to the previous time. However, there are still two factories in Yunnan and one factory in Shandong being shut down. Inventories of under operation factories are low, and downstream customers need to wait in line to pick up their goods. Factories have sufficient orders and no much sales pressure.
On the demand side: The downstream demand in this week shows regional differentiation. Terminal customers in the southern market still have restocking needs. It is reported that some farmers place orders before the holiday, and the demand performance is quite good. The demand for stockpiling in the northern market is relatively flat, mainly focusing on receiving goods.
Forecast: In the short term, the delivery of dicalcium phosphate will still be tight and difficult to ease up in a short time, and the price will continue to rise steadily. In addition, the timing of new plant of Yunnan Copper’s acid production is not yet clear, so it’s recommended continued attention on the trend of sulfuric acid prices in the Yunnan region in the later stage.
