Phosphate Rock:
The price of phosphorus ore is no change this week, with a slight decrease in the northern region by 10-20 yuan per ton. In Sichuan, due to environmental inspections, mining companies have stopped or reduced production, which resulted in a decrease in supply. In other regions such as Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hubei, mining and transportation are normal.
For 28% grade raw ore: Reference price in Guizhou is 940-960 yuan per ton; reference price in Yunnan is 890-910 yuan per ton; reference price in Hubei is 1000-1020 yuan per ton.
For 30% grade raw ore: Reference price in Guizhou is 1030-1050 yuan per ton; reference price in Hubei is 1030-1050 yuan per ton; reference price in Yunnan is 940-960 yuan per ton.
International market: 27% grade phosphorus ore from Jordan CFR USD97.00/MT, 27% grade phosphorus ore from Egypt CFR USD95-96/MTS; 30% grade phosphorus ore CFR USD130/MTS.
Yellow phosphorus:
The National Day holiday has ended this week, and downstream customers’ inventories are depleted and demand has slightly increased. So the yellow phosphorus companies are holding back from selling at prices that increase slightly. The operation rate of yellow phosphorus is slightly lower than that before the holiday because some factories in Guizhou and Yunnan have been shut down for maintenance.
In the later stage, the price of yellow phosphorus is expected to continue to increase slightly, and the price may be maintained at 23500-23600 yuan/ton. This is mainly because the coke price has been continuously increase recently and still has an upward trend. In addition, there is a significant increase in electricity prices in November, which provides a positive support for the increase in the cost of yellow phosphorus.
Thermal phosphoric acid:
The FOB Fangcheng price for 35KG thermal phosphoric acid is USD1030.00 this week.
Thermal phosphoric acid prices are stable this week. During the National Day, some factories stopped production and reduced production supply, but after the National Day, the market supply has increased due to factories have resumed production. Considering the price of yellow phosphorus will rise in the later period, so the Thermal phosphoric acid transaction price is stable this week. Due to the positive support of the cost, the price of Thermal phosphoric acid is expected to be stable and upward next week.
Wet purified phosphoric acid:
The price of wet-process purified phosphoric acid rose slightly this week. Due to low inventory in some wet-process purified phosphoric acid factories and support from a large number of pending orders, the delivery orders have been arranged until the end of October, and some factories’ delivery orders have been arranged until mid-November. In addition, some factories have stopped production, resulting in a decrease in supply in some areas, so the transaction price has risen slightly after the holiday. It is expected that the price of wet-process purified phosphoric acid will be stable and increase next week, mainly due to the following reasons:
- A large manufacturer will have a maintenance plan this month, and Sichuan region is still undergoing environmental protection inspections. At that time, the market supply will continue to tighten.
- The recent strong global demand for new energy maintains a strong demand for wet-process purified phosphoric acid.
- Due to the favorable cost support of thermal acid, the price of wet-process purified phosphoric acid is expected to remain stable and increase in the short term.
